A LIFE WITH NO DIETS
INTUITIVE EATING & BODY IMAGE
Hi, I'm Nina!
a nutritionist and health coach on a mission to help women ditch the diets, feel in control around food and at peace with their bodies
DOES ANY OF THIS RESONATE WITH YOU?
My body image is not great.
Food is a comfort for emotions.
I've done so many diets in my life.
I often feel guilty after eating.
I usually eat until my belly hurts.
I think about food the whole day.
I am worried about putting on weight.
Once I start eating, it's hard to stop.
I think I lack willpower to change.
If any of these situations looks familiar to you, it is probably time to distance yourself from dieting and try an approach that will make you feel much better about yourself and help you find food freedom - no more guilt and anxiety around eating.
WHY DIETING MAY NOT BE THE BEST OPTION FOR YOU
mind and body
disconnection
You weren't born with a calorie and macros calculator, but with a natural sense of hunger and satiety. Dieting makes your mind ignore those feelings.

food obsession
Dieting turns food the center of your life.
When you're on a diet, you're constantly thinking about food and a simple meal could bring a lot of stress.

bingeing and overeating
Restriction leads to a sense of deprivation that leads to bingeing episodes and lack of control overeating. The all or nothing mentality makes you overdo.

poor body image
Dieters usually have a negative body perception and place a high value on their body shape and weight when determining their own self-worth.

WELCOME THE INTUITIVE EATING APPROACH
Intuitive Eating is a is a dynamic integration of instinct, emotions and rational thoughts; a self-care eating framework created by two dietitians in 1995. The principles of IE work by either cultivating attunement to the physical sensations that arise from within your body or removing obstacles to body awareness, which usually come from the mind.

Essentially, Intuitive Eating is a process of honouring health by listening and responding to the messages of the body in order to meet your physical and psychological needs. It is an empowerment tool to liberate yourself from the prison of diet culture and weight obsession.

Intuitive Eating is NOT a diet or food plan, but a journey of self-discovery and connection to the needs of your mind and body. There is nothing to count: no counting of calories, carbs, points, or macros.

SO, WHAT IF YOU COULD?
Listen your body signs and trust your feelings.
